Intership at Enversed Studios

During the third year of my bachelor I interned in the Gameplay Programming department of Enversed Studios, responsible for designing, programming and implementing VR experiences for both Enversed's own entertainment center as well as other stakeholders.

I implemented and created new systems for running projects as well as projects started from the ground up. While I started the internship with quite little knowledge in programming, and ended decent skill level, capable of creating adaptive systems with little to no help. The main projects I was involved in were:

  • a project for the Dutch Railway (NS), which allowed people to walk through a new type of Intercity train in VR.
  • a VR racing game called Skyracer, I was mostly responsible for the haptic feedback of the steering wheel.
  • a fire safety training simulation, for which I did most of the coding myself.

I also helped present these projects during the Dutch Design Week, making sure that they ran smoothly.
